How Depop Calculates Fees in 2026
Depop is the premier social e-commerce platform for Gen-Z fashion, vintage streetwear, and handmade accessories. However, navigating Depop’s fees requires understanding the difference between marketplace commissions, transaction processing, and promotional listing features.
1. Marketplace Selling Fee (US vs UK)
In the United States, Depop charges a flat 10% selling fee on the total transaction amount (excluding sales tax). In the United Kingdom, Depop officially eliminated the 10% selling fee for private sellers to compete with Vinted, meaning UK sellers keep significantly more of their gross revenue.
2. Payment Processing Fee
Whenever an item sells via Depop Payments or PayPal, payment processors charge a fee to handle card processing:
- Depop US: 3.3% of the total transaction (item price + shipping charged) plus a fixed $0.45 fee.
- Depop UK: 2.9% of the total transaction plus a fixed £0.30 fee.
3. Boosted Listings (+8%)
If you opt to use Depop’s "Boosted Listings" feature to push your clothing items higher in search results, Depop charges an additional 8% commission if a buyer purchases the item after clicking on your boosted listing within 28 days.
Depop Profit Formula
To calculate your actual cash profit, subtract your sourcing cost (the amount you paid for the item) from the payout. For a complete deep dive, read our full Depop Fee Guide.
